Monthly Meeting: “Into the roaring forties and furious fifties”
War Memorial Library 2 Queens Drive, Lower Hutt, New ZealandSeniorNet Social Morning - Friday 28 March 10am, Lower Hutt Library (upstairs) As a follow up to her very interesting previous Antarctica talk, Anne Manchester will give us a presentation entitled “Into the roaring forties and furious fifties – exploring the Subantarctic Islands” On her month-long journey to Antarctica just over a year ago, Anne Manchester visited four Subantarctic islands. All are World Heritage sites, and each has its own unique flora and fauna and fascinating human history. All members and friends are very welcome.
